More info on Honey

Haninozuka Mitsukuni is the eldest son of the Haninozuka family, which is known worldwide for their legendary skills and knowledge in martial arts. Mitsukuni was captain of the karate team while he was in middle school, is a black belt in karate and judo, and is also a national champion in both sports.
He is known throughout Ouran Academy as "Honey" and everyone except his cousin Takashi (Mori) refer to him as Honey-senpai. As a Host, he is the "loli-shota" type who attracts his customers with his cute nature and his obsession with sweets. He also has an obsession with cute things and plushies, mainly his rabbit plushie, Usa chan. As for sweets, he loves almost everything but cakes seem to be his favorite choice, especially the ones with strawberries.
Honey is very cheerful and sweet; he is always smiling and calling everyone cute names, getting excited about cake or any sweet he is having, admiring something cute, being adorable with Mori, etc etc.
Honey is also the only one who backs up Tamaki or tries to cheer him up when he feels really gloomy after one of Haruhi's rejections or when everyone else teases him. Besides, they both share a certain appreciation for all things cute.
But believe it or not, the cute little bunny has quite the dark side. If Honey is awakened suddenly while napping, he turns into the "low blood pressure beast" (still unsure how his blood pressure is involved though lol) basically killing everything in its path with apparently just his gaze. It's not a good idea to piss him off either or deprive him of sweets for a long period of time, he even bites!
But despite Honey's little boy attitude and rage episodes (which are rare haha), he is actually one of the most perceptive and mature characters in the story. He and Mori are the only ones who realize what's going on between everyone else once things start getting complicated when certain feelings become more and more clear for some of them.
Perhaps being one of the eldest in the group is a factor for his mature input, or probably because Honey and Mori have always been on the sidelines a lot since they're secondary but important characters, they see a little more than everyone else does.
But I do feel Honey is very mature despite his sugary cuteness and you can see it in some of his decisions. For example, his father told him that since he is very short and cute looking, he must act tough and strong to stop any gossip since he is the eldest Haninozuka and must carry on their legacy. So Honey, despite of how painful it was for him, gave up completely on sweets and "locked" away all the cute things he loved to assume his role.
When Honey and Mori are about to graduate, Mori challenges Honey to a fight which upsets everyone especially when they find out they will go to separate colleges afterwards. But while everyone is freaking out and assuming the worst, the 2 of them are calm and look upon the others worrying about them and trying to make their farewell less painful for them. Actually, the whole fight was an idea in order to entertain everyone till the end and thank them for all the fun they had for 3 years by their side.
So I guess what Im trying to say is, there's more to his cute exterior; Honey has a big heart, a huge soft spot for everything cute and sweet, he always wants the best for everyone else and cares for them, has a very mature input, he is a very loyal and understanding friend, and yes, he is one of the cutest things ever.
